Where We've Stayed in Pecos, Texas
The Walmart, which is not a SuperCenter, is right off US-285 on the south side of Pecos, just north of I-20.
As is usually the case, this Walmart is right on the main commercial street in town. It does not have a large parking lot, but we had no problems once we arrived. There were already two other RV's parked out at the front edge of the lot, se we pulled in next to them. We spent a restful night with a small suprise in the morning when we discoivered a Prevost had parked behind us during the night.
It was free as all Walmart's are, and in a change from our usual practice we did not shop at the store. No SuperCenter, no groceries. We stayed here in February of 2006.
