Bald Bob left Seattle in the year of twenty-ten
with Linda his partner yes just because they can
They crossed the Canadian border headed to the promised land
Below a snow capped mountain
They found a place called Hope
Beneath that tall mighty mountain where Rambo did his thing
They drove the winding river roads
As they traveled on the canyon sides
Where the sun and clouds make a sight
Where there is no finer view
Yes they're having lot's o' fun
Heading to the midnight sun
Where the views never end and awesome sights they're findin'
North to Alaska go north the trip is on
North to Alaska go north the trip is on
Bob turns to Lin with camera in his hand
Said Bob you're lookin' at a very unhappy man
I'd trade all the plastic cards in yer wallet
For one small battery so I could a few more photos get
'Cause a man needs a photo to remind him where he's been
Remember how a great scene is so hard to find
I'd like some photo's for to take back home
One that shows this glacier
Dropping ice into the ocean
Where the views never end and awesome sights they're findin'
North to Alaska go north the trip is on
North to Alaska go north the trip is on
Man but that is one hard tune to follow. On the other hand, what it is all about is what we are up to this summer. For the first time in two years we won't be going to Europe, but something tells us this adventure is going to be just as awesome.
We don't have any set plans, no timetable, no reservations, just a desire to see some of Canada and Alaska. Sure we have some things we want to see, Denali, the Homer Spit, Juneau among others, but there will also be those other places that we discover as we travel along, the things that made our European travels so much fun. Now if I can just start writing the Daily Journal once again. Sigh.
