Rendevous Village RV Park, (no website) Is a located in the southeastern corner of Idaho, somewhat off the beaten track in the small town of Montpelier. We had found the park in the Passport America book, but when we arrived the large sign on the door said the park was under new management and no longer had any affiliation with discount camping clubs. We were later to find out that this was due to the fact that the property had been purchased by a local firm intent on building a lumber yard on the property in the next few years. Checking the Passport America website showed the campground was no longer in their system. The campground only had a few 50 amp hookups and they were not situated where we wanted to stay, so we opted for a 30 amp site. The weather was mild and so we had no problems with the air conditioner. We were there for two nights and there were three or four other people there each night. There were no permanents or extended stay campers.
It is on the west side of US 30 on the north side of town. This was an old campground and most of the sites were small grassy pull throughs. We were here beause of the California-Oregon Trail Center. As always, we did not use the restrooms so we have no idea of what they were like. If it is still open when we were next in the area we would stay here again. With a Good Sam discount it was $18 a night. We stayed here in July of 2006.
